                Placing on the market of pressure equipment covered by the PED Directive<\/strong><\/p>\n

                When placing on the market their pressure equipment or assemblies covered by the PED Directive, manufacturers must ensure that they have been designed and manufactured in accordance with the essential safety requirements set out in the Directive.<\/p>\n

                This guarantee is evidenced by the EU declaration of conformity and the CE marking affixed to the pressure equipment or assemblies. The marking must include their registered trade name or registered trade mark and the postal address at which they can be contacted. In addition, the products must be accompanied by instructions and safety information. <\/p>\n

                The Directive classifies pressure equipment into categories, depending on the ascending level of hazard from Category I, low risk, to Category IV, high risk.<\/p>\n

                In order to ensure the safety of pressure equipment, compliance with essential safety requirements is essential.<\/p>\n

                These requirements are evaluated through conformity assessment procedures. Such procedures shall be designed taking into account the degree of hazard characteristic of pressure equipment or assemblies. Therefore, each category of pressure equipment is assigned an appropriate procedure. <\/p>\n

                Some procedures for conformity assessment: each element must be inspected and verified by a notified body or user inspectorate as part of the final assessment of the pressure equipment or assembly. In other cases, the final assessment is verified by a notified body via unannounced visits. <\/p>\n

                In the event that the manufacturer needs the intervention of C&P as a notified body, it must proceed as follows:<\/p>\n
